Nails
The Manicuring Course is 600 hours in 22 weeks.
The primary purpose of the Manicuring Course is to train the student in the basics of safety requirements and proper work habits to sit for the State Board Exam and to be informed of entry level positions in Manicuring, pedicuring, nail extensions and nail art. The State of Louisiana requires at least 500 hours, but our course requires 600 hours to cover skills such as reflexology, shellac, and nail art.
Course Goals:
∙To provide to each student, theoretical and applicable knowledge, and skill in the actual practice of manicuring and pedicuring.
∙To inform students of entry level employment as a Nail Artist, Pedicurist,, Salon Owner, Manufacturers Representative or Manager of a Nail Spa.
∙To prepare students to sit for the State Board Examination
∙To be informed of employer/employee relationships and effective communication skills.
